Season # 3 - 1966-1967

69. Up At Bat
This third season-opener is one of the most memorable in Russell's opinion. Gilligan is bitten by a flying bat and goes berserk, afraid he'll become a vampire. He hides out in a cave and has a nightmare that he's Count Dracula - one of the most enjoyable dream sequences for the entire cast. The Professor finally
catches the bat in the girls' hut and calms everyone down. After all, he
does know something about bat anatomy.
Directed by Jerry Hopper

70. Gilligan vs. Gilligan
Another Castaway hybrid visits the island. This time a Russian spy who has undergone plastic surgery to look like Gilligan steals Mary Ann's pies and
pretends to be the first mate. The Professor concludes that Gilligan is going
through a psychological crisis.
Directed by Jerry Hopper

71. Pass the Vegetables, Please
With this script, we thought we had seen it all. Gilligan fishes a crate of radioactive
vegetable seeds from the lagoon and all the Castaways are excited about starting

out that he's back in Hollywood and  plans to introduce his monumental
musical version of Hamlet to the world.

Guest starring Phil Silvers; Directed by Ida Lupino

73. VooDoo
Lots of fans have told me this is the best episode. Strange things begin to happen to the Castaways as they discover personal items missing from their huts. A witch doctor has stolen the items and made voodoo dolls in their likeness to control them. Gilligan finally makes a voodoo doll of the witch doctor and takes
vengeance with a straight pin
Guest starring Eddie Little Sky; Directed by George M. Cahan

the world's rarest speciman, a pussycat swallowtail. Eventually, the butterfly nut joins the ranks of the other jerks who have left the island and told no one of the
shipwrecked seven.
Guest starring John McGiver; Directed by Leslie Goodwins

76. Hair Today, Gone Tomorrow
This episode is simple, but hilarious: Gilligan wakes up one morning suffering
from 'follicular albinism' - his hair has gone white. Mrs. Howell tries to dye it brown during the night and Gilligan wakes up to find he's gone bald. Skipper also goes bald and both he and Gilligan run away and hide in a cave.
Directed by Tony Leader

of his problems in the first place.

79. The Invasion
This episode was the series' answer to James Bond, "Get Smart" and Inspector Clouseau all rolled into one bizarre dream. Gilligan is Agent 014, the good guy,
in this spy adventure, while Mary Ann is EVIL agent 10, Ginger is EVIL agent 5,
Skipper is EVIL agent 1 and a bald Mr. Howell is EVIL's leader.

81. And Then There Were None
This is the "Jekyll and Hyde" show. Gilligan dreams he turns into a hideous monster at the mere mention of food. He is called to court as Dr. Gilligan; Mr. Howell is Judge Lord Anthony Armstrong Hanging; Mary Ann is the cockney
girl; the Professor is the prosecuting barrister; Lovey is Mary Poppins,
the defendant's attorney; Ginger is Lady Red.
Directed by Jerry Hopper

82. All About Eva
Eva Grubb, a lonely, drab woman, has left civilization and found her way to the island seeking privacy. In an effort to lift her spirits, the women give her a total beauty make-over, turning her into a ravishing beauty. In fact, she's Ginger's twin and in the end, goes back to Hollywood to assume Ginger's career.
Guest starring Vernon Scott (radio announcer); Directed by Jerry Hopper

83. Gilligan Goes Gung-ho
Law and Order are established on the island when Skipper becomes sheriff and Gilligan his deputy. Gilligan turns Barney Fife and takes his responsibility too seriously, abusing his power and  eventually locking everyone up, including himself. placed on an uncharted desert isle. Guess which one!

85. Court-Martial
Once again the crew of the Minnow is in the news. The Maritime Board of Inquiry has determined that Jonas Grumby (Skipper) was at fault in the famous shipwreck. To disprove the board's verdict, the Castaways reenact the shipewreck and find
out the cause was Gilligan's ineptness. Imagine that! Later a radio report updates the situation and the Castaways find out that Skipper was cleared
Directed by Gary Nelson

Big-game hunter Jonathan Kincaid and his turbaned assistant, Rammo, copter down to the island one day for sport. Gilligan becomes the target of Kincaid's twisted manhunt, but manages to outrun the armed hunter. Kincaid welches

twenty-four hour period
.

.
Directed by Jerry Hopper

91. High Man on the Totem Pole
Gilligan and Skipper find a totem pole topped with a head that is carved to look like Gilligan. The Professor examines the pole and explains that it belongs to
the fierce tribe of Kapuki headhunters, leading Gilligan to believe that
he IS a headhunter.
Directed by Herbert Coleman

92. The Second Ginger Grant
This is the 'amnesia' episode where Mary Ann takes a fall, suffers a psychological disorder and believes she's Ginger Grant. Note: In many episodes in which the Castaways had to sing, Dawn's voice was dubbed because, well, Dawn just couldn't carry a tune. She usually mouthed the words. In this episode, however, some strained notes were needed to make Mary Ann's Ginger sound off,
so Dawn just sang normally.
Directed by Steve Binder

93. The Secret Of Gilligan's Island
Skipper and Gilligan stumble upon prehistoric stone tablets in a cave, and the Professor thinks the hieroglyphics etched on them might bring about their rescue. That night Gilligan dreams the Castaways have gone back 3 million years and he
is a caveman chiseling on stone a secret way off the island.
Directed by Gary Nelson

94. Slave Girl
Kilani, a pretty slave girl, is eternally committed to Gilligan for saving her life,
but Gilligan wants nothing to do with her. To avoid fighting her ex-boyfriend in a duel to the death, the Professor concocts a sleeping serum for Gilligan to make
him appear dead. The natives buy it and insist on giving him a proper
ceremony before burning the body.
Directed by Wilbur D'Arcy

95. It's a Bird, It's a Plane
An air force jet pack lost at sea finds its way to the island. After running a series of tests, the Professor believes it contains enough fuel for Gilligan to fly back to Hawaii. Naturally, Gilligan ruins every attempt at rescue.
Directed by Gary Nelson

96. The Pigeon
This episode is about a bird, but is remembered mainly for the gargantuan spider. Gilligan befriends a homing pigeon and the Professor has a plan to tie a note on
it to help them get rescued. The pigeon's owner - a Birdman of Alcatraz type - receives the notes but doesn't take them seriously. When the bird flies back to
the island, it becomes endangered in a cave with a 6-foot black morning spider.

Note: The giant spider was first seen on "Lost in Space".
Guest starring Sterling Holloway; Directed by Michael J. Kane

97. Bang!  Bang! Bang!
A crate of newly developed thermo-plastic explosive putty has been lost at sea
and washes ashore on the island. The Professor indentifies the molding plastic
and deduces that it can be shaped into combs, plates, nails and other useful objects. Gilligan's monkey realizes that hurling the objects causes them to
explode on impact and showers the Castaways with random bombings,
which nearly kill Gilligan.
Directed by Charles Norton

98. Gilligan, the Goddess
Though the cast didn't know it, this was to be the last episode of Gilligan's Island.
King Killiwani searches the island for a White Goddess who will marry a volcano and be a sacrifice to it. To save the women, the men try out for White Goddess
and Gilligan wins. "Gilliana", the new White Goddess in heels, can't take the charade and removes his dress and wig. King Killiwani thinks White Goddess
evil, take henchman and leave island!
Directed by Gary Nelson
