This remains one of the most popular of all episodes because of its sheer ridiculousness. After discovering crates, filled with costumes, film cameras, make-up, etc., in the hull of a sunken ship at the bottom of the lagoon,
Mr. Howell directs a silent epic explaining the Castaways' plight. They set the film adrift in hopes that it will save them; however, when it's found, the film is heralded as a possible lost work of Ingmar Bergman and
given first place at the Cannes Film Festival.

44. Agonized Labor
According to the famous GI radio, Howell Industries has gone belly-up, leaving the couple bankrupt. The Castaways pitch in to try to teach the Howells some kind of trade since they've never worked at anything but being wealthy.
Just as the Howells are ready to commit suicide, another report announces that it was really Powell Industries that has gone under.

viewers consider this episode one of the best. A rock group called the Mosquitoes lands on the island hoping for a little R&R, but the Castaways beg them to leave and takethem back to civilization. When they won't, the men

68. Meet the Meteor A large,
glowing meteorite lands on the island. The fallen chunk of meteor ages things around it drastically. Later, Gilligan dreams the Castaways are old and doddering when they celebrate their 50th anniversary on the island with a big
party. Gilligan saves the Castaways in this episode, hurling a lead lightning rod into the meteor, attracting a bolt that destroys it.
